I saw there were no posts in the La Patrie section so I figured I'd jump in. Last night I bought a 1997 Collection on ebay. It's coming from Colorado to Maine so I won't have it for a while. I got it cheap, $160 with HSC. It's a 1997 and apparently it was a NAMM display sample or other sales sample, as the label inside is stamped 'DEMO'. I owned one Collection for a couple days in 2004 and flipped it on ebay. I think it was an impulse buy and I saw something I wanted more before it arrived so it was doomed before the UPS truck even showed up. Since then I have playing much more on classical guitars; not classical music, just enjoying the wide board and the soft tone. I have three other classicals, a 1958 Gibson C-6, a Seresta (Brazil) and an unidentified Vietnamese classical from the 60s inlaid wih dragons and flowers and all manner of stuff. Not a great guitar and the fnish is delicate; just touch it and it flakes off, but it sure looks neat.
That's my story.....
