I've been using D'Addario phosphor bronze lights for the longest time and I love them.

I have D'Addario EXP mediums on my 25th Anniversary Mahogany. They sound great. Martins on the S12 and D'Addario lights on the S6 and on the Art & Lutherie folk. All sound good.

Hi, All-

I'm the proud owner of a 2005 Spruce-top M6 with an aftermarket LR Baggs iBeam Active- Since my two sons and I have eight guitars-and two basses between(among?) us in the house, I buy in bulk-a little outfit out of Orford, New Hampshire called Euphonon Strings -http://www.hotworship.com/euphonon/index.html

(I'm not in any way affiliated with Euphonon, just a happy customer)

I use their extra light (.010) phosphor-bronze- when I send in my annual order, I pay about $2.50 a set-

All the Best,

When I bought my Seagull it was new and it had Godin strings on it and I totally loved it,than it was time to change strings and I put on Elixirs and it sounded like a totally different guitar.Needless to say is all I use are Godin,I order them online,no shipping charge,2 -3 day delivery

I have an Entourage Rustic CW. Have experimented with D'adarrio and just threw on Martin (Eric Clapton series) phosphor lights. As much as I've liked the D'adarrios, the Martin-Clapton series have really brightened up my guitar, especially with the fingerstyle I play.

I tried the elixir lights and I didn't like the sound they made. I'm strumming with my fingernails and I have a spruce mahogany maritime seagull. I found them too bright for what I wanted, especially on the treble strings. I gave them a month and now I've changed to the D'addario pb custom lights and I immediately loved the sound of these new strings - just what I was looking for. Tones down the brightness of the spruce top a bit. Wish Seagull made a maritime guitar with a cedar top.

I use Cleartone strings on all my guitars. They have a very tough, very thin coating on all of the strings (even the unwound B and E strings), and they last an incredibly long time. I have a set of Cleartone strings on my Seagull Grand that I installed a year ago and it still sounds new. They are more expensive, but well worth the cost and the labor time saved.
